LTC Requirements

Minimum Age 21
You must be at least 21 years old to apply for a Texas License to Carry.
Background Check

6-Hour Training
Complete six hours of classroom or online training covering laws and safety.
Texas DPS Exam
Successfully pass the written examination administered by Texas DPS.
Shooting Proficiency
Demonstrate shooting proficiency at a certified gun range with passing score.
Free Range Qualification
Local students receive free in-school shooting qualification included with course.
Out-of-Town Students
Can't make it to our range? No problem! We offer an alternate instructor option for out-of-town students. Complete your shooting proficiency test with an approved instructor in your area.
